Japan-Israel Innovation Network (JIIN)

About:

The Israel-Japan Chamber of Commerce (IJCC)

has been actively working for over six decades to develop and foster business ties between Israel and Japan. The Chamber serves as a key platform for businesses from both countries in promoting bilateral business relations.
The IJCC collaborates with various commercial and governmental bodies in Israel and Japan in order to achieve its various goals and is a member of the Japan-Israel Innovation Network (JIIN).

 


Japan-Israel Innovation Network (JIIN):


JIIN was established in November 2017 to enhance economic and business collaboration between Japan and Israel. It brings together various government agencies and business entities from both countries to promote and support bilateral business activities.

 

The main objectives of JIIN include fostering open innovation, facilitating business exchanges, and encouraging joint ventures and investments.

Our Services: 

The IJCC's extensive network allows it to offer a wide range of activities and services:

  • Sectorial Forums: These forums facilitate knowledge sharing and address sector-specific challenges. They provide relevant content, information, and networking opportunities for forum members.

  • Events: The IJCC's physical and online events offer valuable opportunities for members to acquire relevant and interesting knowledge, meet other players in the Israel-Japan ecosystem, and network effectively.

  • Hosting Delegations: The IJCC hosts business delegations from Japan to create opportunities for business and networking among its members.

  • Expert Panels: The IJCC's online expert panels provide members with opportunities to receive free advice from industry experts in various fields and aspects.

  • Newsletter: The IJCC's newsletter serves as an excellent source of information on trends, key players, and the organization's activities.

Chairman

Attorney Gilad Majerowwicz

Gilad Majerowicz is the Chairman of the Israel Japan Chamber of Commerce and Friendship Society, as of January 2023.
He has been serving as a member of the Management Committee of the Israel Japan Chamber of Commerce since 2013. He also served as the Vice Chairman between 2016 and 2020.


In the private practice, Gilad is a senior partner at Herzog, Fox & Neeman, one of Israel’s largest law firms, and Head of the Japan Practice.
Gilad has more than 25 years of experience representing clients from all over the world in various matters related to their business activity in Israel and abroad, particularly in connection with technology-related matters. He is a Recommended Lawyer by Legal500 in the area of Hi-Tech and Startups.
Gilad has been heavily focusing on representation of Japanese clients in connection with their activity in Israel in a variety of matters, including investments into Israeli startups, acquisitions of Israeli companies, establishment of innovation centers and other offices in Israel, assistance with strategic agreements, assistance with regulatory matters, representation in legal disputes in Israel, and more. In addition, Gilad supports Israeli companies who are expanding their business into Japan.


Gilad has lectured numerous times in Japan on matters related to business and legal aspects of collaborations with Israeli companies in conferences, seminars and other forums in Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, and Kyoto.
